Wayback RPGs Marathon

The Marathon's going to be starting at 5:00pm CST on July 10th. It will run until 6:00pm on July 13th. Sadly due to monetary reasons we won't be giving away prizes during this marathon but we're hoping that we make up for that with stellar commentary and gameplay! In the days leading up to the marathon we will be posting more details about it here and on the forums. We also have a surprise or two in store, perhaps in the form of some new members to our merry little band. We hope to see everybody there to support another marathon of fundraising and fun.

List of current confirmed games being played (additions may come later):

• Super Mario RPG
• Final Fantasy IV
• Final Fantasy IX

For those people that are new to how we do things around here, when the marathon begins we will have two feeds embedded in the website; one for commentary where one of our members will chat with viewers live, fielding questions and spurring on donations; and one for the actual gameplay so that viewers can watch the games being played live. We also provide a chat client so that our viewers can chat with each other and facilitate speaking with our commentators in real time instead of through email. We will have a ChipIn widget embedded in our webpage to the right of the feed where viewers can click to donate to the charity. Donations will open a week before the marathon begins and stay open for a week after the marathon ends, at which point we will compile a complete donor list to be placed on our forums. If we manage to get through all of the games before the 72 hour time limit we will go back through and play them again, trying to collect all items.
