Z-Day Wrap Up

The marathon came and it ended. Things when mostly smooth except for a few technical problems at the end. That shouldn't be much of a problem in the future though. The gameplay for the marathon was stellar and we'd like to give our big thanks to Tailz64 and Cornshaq of Bonus Stage Marathons for their help in this marathon. They've always done good work for us and helped us pull off successful marathons and they run good marathons as well. Everyone should make sure to check out their next marathon in April.

Surprisingly donations are more than were expected. The marathon was not promoted at all successfully and turn out was less than optimal but still we managed 62% of our goal by marathon's end and the donation window will remain open for another four days. We are hoping that people will still want to give right up to the end and help us get closer to that goal.

We also offered a link to the Red Cross donation page to help with the relief effort in Japan and though we're not sure who donated to that particular cause, our thanks go out to anyone who did. You've helped make the lives of people in need better, even with the donation of but a few dollars and that's something to be very proud of.

As for sites which promoted us, there weren't many that we know of, but we would like to mention the ones we do know of and offer our thanks to them. So our very greatest thanks goes out to the following sites for their help in making this marathon as successful as it was:
Game Marathons
Link's Hideaway
Zelda 101
Zelda Europe

If any other sites promoted the marathon, please get in touch with us and we will put a link up for you. It is the least we can do for the help a simple news post about the marathon can have.

Finally when the donation window closes we will be putting up the donor list in our formus as we do with every marathon. If you would like us to omit your name or use a different name than your real name please get in contact with us and let us know.

That about wraps everything up. We will see everyone in June for the Final Fantasy marathon. Please do look forward to it. All of us here certainly are.
